El Gobierno concluye la planificación hidrológica competencia del Estado con la aprobación de los Planes Hidrológicos del Segura y del Júcar

11 de julio de 2014- El Consejo de Ministros ha aprobado hoy, a propuesta del Ministerio de Agricultura, Alimentación y Medio Ambiente (MAGRAMA), los Planes Hidrológicos de las demarcaciones hidrográficas del Segura y del Júcar, concluyendo así la planificación hidrológica competencia del Estado.

El actual Ejecutivo ha cumplido el objetivo de terminar el primer ciclo de planificación hidrológica que debía estar concluido a finales de 2009. Cuando llegó al Gobierno sólo se había aprobado un plan de competencia autonómica (el de las cuencas internas de Cataluña, luego anulado por los tribunales).

Así, el Gobierno ha aprobado en dos años y medio los 12 planes hidrológicos competencia del Estado y ha impulsado los de competencia autonómica pese al enorme retraso acumulado.

Desde 2012, el actual Gobierno ha aprobado, tras un gran esfuerzo de coordinación y colaboración con las CC.AA. y con los usuarios, todos los planes hidrológicos de competencia estatal: los de las demarcaciones del Júcar, Segura, Tajo, Ebro, Ceuta, Melilla, Duero, Cantábrico Occidental, Cantábrico Oriental, Guadiana, Guadalquivir y Miño-Sil. Además, ha ratificado en Consejo de Ministros 5 planes más de competencia autonómica (los de las Islas Baleares, Galicia-Costa, Tinto-Odiel-Piedras, Guadalete-Barbate y Cuencas Mediterráneas Andaluzas).

En paralelo a la conclusión del primer ciclo de planificación hidrológica, el Ministerio Agricultura, Alimentación y Medio Ambiente ya ha iniciado el segundo ciclo de planificación, que concluirá en 2015, para acompasar así el ciclo de planificación de España con el del resto de los países miembros de la Unión Europea.
